East Africa Imperialism
The main reason the eastern region of Africa wanted to break off of the British was because of many reasons. Some
of the reasons that they wanted to break off was because of slavery and the British were gaining so much money that
they could control the whole part of Africa. With Africa being so tied up into slavery, it is hard for them to get out.
Slavery was a main way of economy in Africa and the British could get their weapons without trading Africans.
After this, some time Arabs went to Africa. With the Arabs, they could keep a constant steady of money and not give the
British any. The Arabs didn't know there way around Africa so that was a way they could always gain money. With a new steady source of money, they could actually rule over the areas that the British controlled. Everything large comes in small packages.
With slaves still being able to trade, they could sell it for the Arabs. The Arabs were new to Africa and they had a lot
of wealth. With everything they did with the Arabs, they could almost get a never ending supply of money and would never have to back down to the British. But before you can do great things you must wait. And the Africans waited a little longer.
